Manly really turned on the charm when we hosted a group of fabulous event organisers on our recent famil tour. Meet in Manly partnered with some amazing suppliers to showcase some of the best venues and experiences for events and conferences in this spectacular destination.
On arrival, guests checked into the stunningly refurbished Manly Pacific, and enjoyed a sumptuous afternoon tea before exploring the hotel's conference space, accommodation options and absolutely incredible rooftop pool deck. This hotel has 213 rooms and suites, directly opposite Many Beach and it's central location means off site dinners and experiences are easily accessible. The hotel has paid parking available underneath the hotel.
Next it was onto The Cumberland, an underground bar hidden behind a fridge door which serves up delicious cocktails and tapas style food. This venue is suited to small groups, as well as exclusive events for up to 70 people. This is a venue to impress.
You can't go passed Hugo's Manly for a fabulous meal on Sydney Harbour and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the outstanding hospitality. This Italian style restaurant is ideal for small or large group dining and also offers an outdoor terrace area on Manly Wharf (suitable for dining in good weather only). This is a favourite with the locals so book in quick to snap up some tables for group bookings.
Following on from a restful sleep and buffet breakfast at Manly Pacific, the group strolled through The Corso to West Esplanade, where the team from Manly Kayaks were ready to take us out on the water. After a safety briefing, the group jumped into the double kayaks and explored the calm waters of Sydney Harbour though Fairlight Beach, Forty Baskets Beach and disembarking at stunning Reef Beach for a short stroll up to Dobroyd Head lookout and enjoyed fabulous views from the National Park out towards the heads and Manly. Meanwhile, the kayaks were roped together so the group could be towed at a leisurely pace back to West Esplanade whilst enjoying the spectacular views!
Then it was onto Manly Pavilion, a stunning venue by The Boathouse Group. The top floor is a restaurant that can be booked out exclusively for events which includes the outdoor terrace and multiple dining areas. They also have a semi private dining space for up to 16 people. Downstairs is the private event space seating up to 200 guests. The decor is absolutely gorgeous, you will save theming $ in your budget when using this space. Perfectly suited for day conferences and evening events.
The International College of Management Sydney (ICMS) was next on the agenda. Offering huge outdoor space with marquee options, 'the castle' is located on the hill with stunning views north over Manly and the Northern Beaches. The college also offers a variety of meeting rooms suited from boardroom style meetings for up to 16 guests, as well as larger rooms for up to 170 guests.
The group was then treated to a walking tour with the team from Hello Manly which departs from the Manly Visitor Information Centre at Manly Wharf, learning about the history and heritage of Manly, as well as its vibrant surfing culture.
Back on Sydney Harbour, the group enjoyed a thoroughly luxurious sail on board Southwinds. This beautiful yacht is available for private charters for up to 22 guests, departing from Manly Sailing Club, just a short walk from Manly Wharf. Serving up champagne, guests were treated to a glorious sunset sail as they made their way around the harbour and back to Q Station Wharf.
On arrival at Q Station wharf (just quietly, a fabulous way to get your guests to the property), we were served with some tasty drinks and snacks for afternoon tea, right on the wharf, enjoying the Sydney Harbour sunset. After check in and a refresh in their accommodation rooms, guests were treated to dinner and drinks at Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar. The following morning, those keen enjoyed yoga on the wharf with Qi Yoga and then after breakfast, a site inspection of some of the unique meeting space on offer at the property which is spread across 33 hectares of National Park. This is an excellent choice for a residential conference with a difference. The property has 105 accommodation rooms including 9 three bedroom cottages and offers free parking. Choose from 11 dedicated meeting rooms and plenty of outdoor space for breakout and catering options.
