Our Projects
Meet in Manly have been working with an awesome client to make a mark in the barber education industry by planning and delivering a first-time expo and the largest barber expo in both Australia and New Zealand.
An Australian tour with educational workshops kicked off a series of events in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth with Barber Josh OP. The main event, EXPO4BARBERS, was delivered at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, with 40 exhibitors and 1500 attendees. The two day event ran over a Sunday and Monday, and required a full day of bump in on the Saturday. Our team worked closely with the client and exhibitors alike, with many months spent in the planning phase. Meet in Manly managed the exhibition build company as well as the venue , audio visual and all logistics. Due to the success and smooth deliverance of EXPO4BARBERS first ever expo, the event is running again in 2025 and our team looks forward to making it even better than this year's!

Tasmania Conference
A wonderful corporate client in financial services used Meet in Manly to assist in organising and delivering their 50 people conference over 3 days in the beautiful Hobart, Tasmania (our third conference for this client). We researched hotels and selected The Vibe Hobart because of its impressive meeting room facilities that conveniently accommodated their conferencing space and overnight stay all in one. When in Hobart, visiting the state of the art Mona Museum is a must! So, Meet in Manly facilitated the booking of the all-intriguing and non-conformist museum for participants to enjoy, with a boat ride there and back as transport! One of the nights saw 20 team members attend an intimate dinner at Landscape Restaurant's private dining room and a large group dinner for 60 people was held at the Aura Restaurant Event Space. This 3 day conference impressed delegates from all over Australia.
One of our fabulous clients held their late Christmas staff party in Rat Park, Warriewood. Simply green grass in an empty space and outdoors without any cover, the event was built and created from scratch with wet weather back up prepared, despite the day being one of the warmest days of the Summer... (we organised a sunscreen station and prepared for sunny weather too!). We chose Pinnacle Team Building to lead the main team building activity and a range of games throughout the day to strengthen communication, problem solving and teamwork across the group, with prizes for winners.
As for food and drink, there were multiple mobile bars operating and food trucks were set up by Satay Brothers, Four Pines Beer Truck, Pepita’s ice cream cart and Pizza by Emiliano, as well as a fairy floss station. The upbeat atmosphere of the day was accentuated by hiring one of our industry links, Evergreen Music, who played tunes throughout the event's entirety and amplified the good vibes. Event Hire Services provided hire furniture and and highly active games through Planet Entertainment including a mechanical surfboard! The range of activities and layout ensured the 140 colleagues had areas and spaces that encouraged and sparked mingling and team bonding even further. It was a fantastic day for our client and their team.

At Meet in Manly, our team are passionate about shining a light on organisations that do good and add value to the community. In 2023, we provided end-to-end support for a worthy not-for-profit organisation, helping to deliver their 130 person cocktail party that would celebrate their fundraising efforts and encourage further donations. Meet in Manly knew that Manly Pacific would be the perfect venue to host the evening, with state of the art facilities able to provide a private space and stage with ample room to hire entertainment, and premium catering for the guests. The night had an upbeat and relaxed atmosphere thanks to a local band, ensuring their music genre and style would be enjoyed and appreciated by guests. Entertainment didn't stop there though.... everyone loves to sit back and listen to the wisdom and experience of an accomplished guest speaker and Ned Brockmann had the crowd enthralled with his story of being the fastest person to run across Australia, leaving everyone uplifted and motivated.
Meet in Manly worked with a client in superannuation to help plan and deliver their large destination conference. The 4 days in the Sunshine Coast included plenary and breakout sessions, as well as allowing time for relaxation, work and networking! The conference kicked off with a welcome cocktail party that facilitated mingling and networking for nearly 300 people in super, hosted by the venue's impressive poolside bar. At Meet in Manly, we understand the convenience of a hotel that accommodates for comfortable overnights stays as well as offering its own meeting and event spaces. Accommodation, group dinner and all conference sessions were held at the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, utilising the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre. The final breakfast incorporated a fascinating session on Generative AI - a hot topic!
