Conference options in Manly CBD

There is so much to discover for meetings and events in Manly and the Northern Beaches so we've put together some suggested options to help you plan your next conference.

Itinerary options in Manly CBD:

Manly is a 45 minute drive from Sydney airport and 30 minutes from the CBD. There are several paid parking options right in the heart of Manly and the three Accor properties - Manly Pacific, Q Station and The Sebel Manly all offer paid parking for guests.

If you have delegates that are Sydney based, consider booking a private transfer across beautiful Sydney Harbour. If you want to stay right in the heart of Manly, choose from either the newly renovated Manly Pacific or The Sebel Manly - both hotels face the iconic surf beach and are in easy walking distance to Manly CBD. Manly Pacific is the larger of the two with 213 accommodation rooms and suites, many with ocean views. The Sebel has 83 rooms and apartments, also including some with ocean views.

Both Manly Pacific and The Sebel offer modern conference space accommodating small to large meetings with Manly Pacific offering the largest space of up to 550 guests theatre style in their Pacific Ballroom. Half day and full day delegate packages are available at both properties.

Once your guests arrive on Day 1, they can drop their bags at Reception and head straight to the meeting space to kick off your meeting. We recommend a half day session on day 1 and then get your guests out and about in the great outdoors of Manly for an afternoon team building activity.

Manly Surf School offer corporate group lessons for a range of abilities. Located right at South Steyne, this is definitely a super fun activity that will leave your delegates feeling refreshed and energised and probably with a few stories to tell over dinner!

Manly Bikes offer bike hire and self guided tours around the vicinity - a great way to see the local area and get some exercise in at the same time! Book some catering to either take with you or organise to be dropped off at a location you can stop for a break such as Shelly Beach or Freshwater Beach.

Bare foot bowling is available at Manly Bowling Club which is around a ten minute walk from Manly CBD. This is a less strenuous option but still lots of fun and the team at RocknBowl can put together a healthy competition for those keen to challenge each other!

You can also choose from one of the many walking trails around Manly for a relaxing and scenic team bonding experience. Stop in at one of the many cafes in the area and sample some delicious afternoon treats.

If your group is into craft beer, there are many local breweries between Manly and Brookvale and the team from Northern Beaches Brewery Tours run private tours which pick you up from Manly Wharf and take you around several breweries for a behind the scenes tour as well sampling some delicious craft beer.

There are so many options to choose from that it's impossible to list them all here! But check out some more options on our activities page.

Post activity, check out the lobby bars in both of the main hotels - 55 North is the newest kid on the block, located at Manly Pacific. Little Pearl Bar is below the Sebel.

Dinner options are a plenty in Manly and you can check out our list of options here For exclusive use dinner options for 50 pax or more, the best options are The Pantry, and the Wine Room at Shore Beach Club.

Most restaurants offer group bookings for smaller numbers and a few have private dining rooms including Sake, Garfish, Hemingways, Manly Pavilion, The Herring Room.

To get started on Day 2 - a stunning morning walk along Manly to Freshwater and back is a great option. Grab brekkie at La Loca Cafe at Freshwater Beach to give yourselves energy for the journey back! Another great outdoor option is yoga on the beach and Yoga By The Sea offer corporate group sessions.

Guests can return to their rooms to prepare themselves for the day and check out, leaving their luggage at Reception, before kicking off a full day session at either Manly Pacific or Sebel.

If you are looking for a conference space outside of the hotel, consider using one of the many dry hire venues in Manly including Manly Yacht Club, Manly Surf Club and Queenscliff Surf Club. Meet in Manly offer full day conference packages at these locations which include catering and set up and pack down. Email natalie@meetinmanly.com.au for more details.
